That's the term for creative work done when the artist was a juvenile, which I figures covers up to age 30 or so for me.
Seriously, here's a cover to Apa-5, the amateur press alliance that was the focus of my teen years, which is miraculously still in existence (I would've thought the internet would've killed apas by now, but they somehow carry on).
It's inked by my old art school roommate Ron Harris. His bio here. It was Ron's successful conception, development and sale to Epic comics of his Crash Ryan series that made me realize I could do that, too, with Concrete.
Ha! That reminds me, I was always bolstered in my dreams to become a 'pro comics artist' once i learned that you used to be a member of the UFO! I was a member for a few years, on & off, and they used to do a 'history corner', taking one issue of Tetragrammaton Fragments out of the archives and recapping it. I was stoked when I noticed your name in the roster.
