Click to enlarge. An Apa-5 cover I did as a
senior in high school. Probably all the perspective I was capable of
at the time.
That bending-over fellow has something not quite right about him, and his ammo-laden friend seems to have arms of different lengths. But at least it tells a story.
I think what concerns me most is that you were drawing this well in high school, while I'm actively trying to find and burn all my early apa work. Dang you, Paul Chadwick!!

That was one of the better covers to appear on APA-5 during the time I was a member. When I think of all the members back then who have become major talents--you, Mark V., Chris Warner, Ron Harris, Frank Miller and a few I'm leaving out, no doubt--I stand in awe. Even little old me has a mystery novel out (LOVE, DEATH, AND THE TOYMAN, buy three copies today!). That was some petri dish of creativity and I'm proud to have been a part of it even if 90% of what I wrote back then embarrasses the hell out of me today.
