I'm feeling good. Put another edition of The Sentinel, the MXO in-game newspaper to bed (here's the previous edition), and worked on the design and written content of some little satellite storytelling vehicles which we hope will flesh out the story which, alas, has been unfolding at half the speed originally planned.
Better to fill the gaps with characterization and backstory and subplots than to curse the darkness, or something like that.
Here's a bizarre scene from the gameworld, with "flying cars" --
actually, an elevated roadway and other objects that neglected to
render. I found myself stuck in this spot, able to run only one meter
before being snapped back to it: XYZ coordinates 0,0,0. Quite a
bizarre glitch.
I wondered if my character would be marooned there forever (restarting the game didn't help), until I consulted the help menu and discovered the "/suicide" command. It sends one back to the loading area, with its choice of hardlines for reentering the Matrix.
If only real life had this sort of reset. Then again, we'd be cleaning up corpses at every stressful social function, and every final exam.

Excellent work Paul...can't wait to read the next Sentinal. Believe me...the MxO community wishes the events and story could progress quicker as well. We're going through withdrawls with the slowdown in live events and story elements. But we have faith, and are glad there's still progress being made!

Ah, the old middle-of-nowhere bug.
Anyways, we're all looking forward to the new Sentinel. MxO would be nothing without the story you've provided us. Keep up the great work!

Good to hear that another Sentinel issue is finished. I look forward to each issue, especially Andres Bonifaciaeo's section.
Keep up the good work.

Can't wait to read it. Your work for MxO is much appreciated!

Whoo hoo. A new sentinal. Nice to see your "day job" is still progessing. hehe.
*twitches like an addict waiting for a fix* Seeeeeentiiiiiinnnnaaaaaallllll.
It's the story that keeps the majority of us there. CR2.0 is great and all, and much needed, but MxO story is what makes me drool in anticipation.
Also ...
*scours the internet for recent signs of the Chadwick/Ellison project Seven Against Chaos to no avail*
Are we there yet?
Are we there yet?
Are we there yet?

Can't wait for the new issue of the Sentinal. With the ever slowing event schedule, these are seemingly the only bits of storyline we can count on in a somewhat regular fashion.

Always remember when out of options you can type /suicide to go to the loading screen.

Do you feel something's strange about this world, like me? Let's meet at the Cobra lounge and talk about it after five, weekdays.

I noticed the music for MxO cinematics 3.1 and 3.2 were changed from recognizable tunes from The Matrix: Reloaded to new tunes. Is there a reason for this? That is, if you had any say in that sort of thing. Just curious.

Can't wait to read the new Sentinel and find all the little secrets...
Also, whenever you're stuck like that, /stuck usually works. Also, try doing a forward or backward flip to get you back up to the street.

Hey Mr. Chadwick, looking forward to that new Sentinal for sure!

Good deal; we're all waiting patiently for the release of the newest Sentinel everytime we in the community feel the winds of a new Live Event coming on.
I personally love every piece of literature thrown into the game. As a fictional writer-in-training, every book has it's place. Or something or rather.

if you are ever in the mood to go exploring on your own or with friends, I recommend biking through the city. You see a lot more from your bike than you would from an automobile. One of my favorite bike trips is taking the pandora jewellry . bike lane downtown through the city, then over the Detroit Superior Bridge. You can bike down Detroit Rd. all the way until Lincoln Park, which is part of the Cleveland Metroparks and is a beautiful oasis of green in the city.

All,Thank you for your responses to my piece. I renetcly came across a quote in Ayn Rand's book The Virtue of Selfishness in her chapter The Argument from Intimidation that aptly summarizes what I was trying to say above: In moral and intellectual issues, it is not enough to be right: one has to know that one is right. This quote summarizes precisely one of my primary critiques about Sarah Palin, namely that while she is largely right on the vast majority of issues, I can't with any honesty say that I believe she knows why she is right. This isn't to say that she isn't able to know why she is right, only that up until relatively renetcly she has not had to seriously consider many of the issues and policies that having been a candidate for Vice-President and now a national figure force her to consider. Is she right when she calls for auditing the Fed? Absolutely. But if one could sit over a long cup of coffee with her and ask her why it is a good idea, what is so perplexing about the Fed that merits an audit, or, if one could even reach this point in the conversation, why should it be abolished and the US readopt a gold standard, everything she has said, written and done up to this date leaves me hesitant to declare that this would be a worthwhile conversation. The same conversation with Ron Paul, Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney and almost any other potential Presidential contender would undoubtedly result in a dizzying and fascinating conversation on all of these issues with depth, merit and serious intellectual consideration, and I believe that such intellectual fortitude is a prerequisite for leading the most powerful nation on earth. Let me be clear: Sarah Palin is absolutely capable of more than adequate intellectual fortitude and curiosity to be President. She just hasn’t been in a position yet to make her seriously consider many of the important issues a President must deal with. Give her some time, and maybe some experience in a Republican President’s administration, and I might be a huge cheerleader for her in 2020 or so. Regards,CEC

I've been working on a book list to post to my arvhices! I love this idea. Scott Hahn is ahh-mazing! I have a philosophy degree from Franciscan University, and he teaches there of course so I've been around him, and his mind is nothing short of a gift to us from God. He is unbelievable. So many good books! It's one reason I've not posted it yet because I feel I've left off too many critically important ones. Maybe I'll just post and keep adding as I recall more.
